Delray Beach, FL (July 2022) … The Downtown Development Authority, in partnership with the Downtown Merchant and Business Association, is hosting Art & Jazz on the Avenue on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Delray Beach. Stroll the West Atlantic Neighborhood on west Atlantic Avenue in a closed street style format, experience two stages of live music, art, culture, food, an interactive kids’ zone, and special promotions by merchants.
Event: Art & Jazz on the Avenue
Date/Time: July 27, 2022, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Location: West Atlantic Neighborhood – On West Atlantic Avenue from 3rd Ave to 6th Ave, downtown Delray Beach, FL.
Cost: FREE and fun for all ages
Overview:
- Live entertainment on two (2) stages plus pop up live entertainment throughout the event.
Headliners::
-Bad Apples Brass Band – a New Orleans style strolling band
-Mervin Johnson Jazz Trio – a jazz trio
-The Resolvers – reggae band
- Live painting of large mural by RIPES, a well-known street artist.

Live painting of large mural by RIPES, a well-known street artist, Interactive artist vendor activations, Plein Air pop up with live painting, The Studio – selfie photo opportunities, Arts Warehouse exhibitors, Interactive kids’ zone with face painting, caricaturist and games and an exhibit of six-eight classic cars from Delray Beach Concours d ’Elegance.

Stage 2 – Delray Beach Police Station – 300 West Atlantic Avenue
Food Features: Ceasar’s Famous Ribs, Windy City Pizza, Over the Bridge Café and Jerk and Lime at Nicole’s House.
The famed Art and Jazz on the Avenue, aka “Jazz on the Ave” or “Art and Jazz” is an event which highlights local businesses, artists, and live entertainment. In celebration of the DDA’s 50th anniversary, this community tradition is returning with each uniquely themed event occurring in a different downtown neighborhood, encouraging community participation, and providing all with the opportunity to have a little fun.
