Deering Estate is proud to present two evenings of fixed media and live performances, inviting all to experience the richness and diversity of Miami’s experimental arts scene.

The Subtropics 2025 Marathon, curated by composer, artist, and Deering Estate programming partner Gustavo Matamoros, brings together a dynamic constellation of international and local artists working across sound, video, performance, and installation. The Subtropics 2025 Marathon continues Subtropics Festival’s mission to amplify boundary-pushing sonic arts in South Florida and beyond. These events reflect the city’s growing appetite for innovative cultural programming that defies convention and redefines artistic space.

The events will take place on Saturday, September 27 & Sunday, September 28, from 4 pm to 10 pm at The Deering Estate Theater. Admission is free with RSVP via Eventbrite. Space is limited and early arrival is encouraged.
