Join us for our first ever REpair & REpurpose Café, where neighbors, makers, and fixers come together to give broken items a second life!

What’s this event all about?

Instead of tossing your stuff in the trash, bring it to Resource Depot and sit down with a volunteer fixer who will try to help you mend, adjust, or patch it up. You’ll learn simple repair skills, connect with others, and discover just how fun and empowering fixing can be.

Our team of community fixers can help with:

Simple sewing (buttons, small tears, stuffed animals)

Jewelry repairs (clasps, jump rings, restringing)

Eyeglass adjustments

Bicycle tubes

Phones & small electronics (screen protectors, cases, minor fixes)

Small household items (non-electrical)

Toys & trinkets

What can you expect?

A friendly, drop-in format — no need to stay all day. Just bring your item and join us anytime between 9 AM and 2 PM.

First come, first served repairs — we’ll do our best, but not everything can be fixed.

Hands-on learning — sit side-by-side with a fixer to pick up repair tips you can use at home.

Creative reuse in action — celebrate sustainability by keeping useful items out of the landfill.

Just a few things to know:

Please be mindful of the amount of items you bring to be fixed, one fixer will only address one of your items at a time, then rotate to the next guest, so everyone gets a turn.

We cannot accept: large appliances, furniture, TVs, computers, hazardous materials, gas-powered tools, or medical equipment.

It’s understood that not everything can be repaired — but you’ll leave with more knowledge, ideas, and connections.

FREE to attend and open to all ages!

RSVP encouraged, walk-ins the day off welcome, with preference given to RSVPs. Registration closes for advanced RSVP Friday , October 10th at 12pm. Free to attend, but donations always appreciated.
