City Of Boca Raton Unveils Fabulous Fourth of July Events 2026!
A Star-Spangled Celebration of America’s 250th Birthday!!
Day-Long Festivities on July 4, 2026, Honor a Nation’s Semiquincentennial and 68 Years of Community Tradition.
BOCA RATON, FL (June 9, 2026) – This Fourth of July is no ordinary celebration. As the United States marks its 250th anniversary — America 250 — the City of Boca Raton invites residents and visitors to join a landmark Fabulous Fourth on Saturday, July 4, 2026. From a sunrise 5K run to a breathtaking fireworks finale over the water, the City’s signature Independence Day tradition returns with more events, more community spirit, and a patriotic pride befitting one of the greatest milestones in American history.
First held in 1958 at Memorial Park, Boca Raton’s Fourth of July celebration has grown over 68 years into one of South Florida’s most beloved community traditions. In 2026, as America turns 250, the Fabulous Fourth reaches a new milestone of its own — a full slate of free and ticketed events spanning the entire day and reflecting the City’s enduring commitment to community, health, and shared joy.
“In a year when our entire nation pauses to reflect on 250 years of freedom, democracy, and the American spirit, Boca Raton is proud to offer a celebration worthy of this once-in-a-generation moment,” said Andy Thomson, Mayor of the City of Boca Raton. “The Fabulous Fourth is a tradition that has brought generations of families together, and this year, we’re honoring both our community’s history and America’s extraordinary story.”

Firecracker 5K | 7:15 a.m. | Florida Atlantic University
Start Independence Day at a sprint. The certified Firecracker 5K on the campus of Florida Atlantic University (777 Glades Rd.) is open to the first 1,000 registered runners. Each participant receives a commemorative shirt, finisher medal, and post-race snacks. Registration is $40 (price increases after July 1 at 11:59 p.m. EDT). Liberty Cup Racquet Tournament | 8:00 a.m. | Patch Reef Park & The Racquet Center
Serving up patriotism one point at a time, the Liberty Cup Pickleball and Tennis Tournament will crown champions across four skill-level divisions, with pickleball happening at Patch Reef Park and tennis at The Racquet Center. The round-robin, bracket-style competition is open to all levels. Registration fees are $35–$50 for Pickleball and $35–$43.75 for Tennis (resident/non-resident pricing). Fabulous Fourth Block Party | FREE | 1:00–4:00 p.m. | Sugar Sand Park, 300 S. Military Trail
The afternoon fun shifts to the award-winning Sugar Sand Park for a FREE Block Party featuring patriotic kids’ crafts, yard games, a DJ, and food trucks. Presented in partnership with the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, this family-friendly midday gathering is the perfect warm-up to the evening’s grand finale. Crafts available while supplies last.
Fabulous Finale | FREE | 6:30–9:30 p.m. | Countess de Hoernle Park, 1000 Spanish River Blvd.
The Fabulous Fourth crescendos at Countess de Hoernle Park with a spectacular FREE waterfront evening. Live musical performances begin at 6:30 p.m., with a second set at 7:30 p.m., before the sky erupts in a 20-minute fireworks spectacular beginning at 9:10 p.m. — a dazzling tribute to 250 years of American independence. Food trucks and vendors will be on-site for purchase.

Free parking for the Fabulous Finale is available at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC). Attendees may enter from Yamato Rd. or Spanish River Blvd. Shared Ride drop-off is located at 4530 Technology Way. From the BRiC lot, it is a 5–7 minute walk along the Liberty Trail — a festive route lined with America 250-themed Independence Day trivia. Limited complimentary trolley service runs from 6:30 p.m. through the end of the event. Food trucks will stop serving food at 9:15 p.m. Guests with strollers or wagons are strongly encouraged to walk; strollers must be fully collapsed to board the trolley. Traffic congestion is expected around Countess de Hoernle Park and Spanish River Blvd. from 5:00–11:00 p.m. Note: A1A will be closed at the Deerfield/Boca border from 7:00 p.m. until the Deerfield Beach fireworks conclude.
Guests are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles — the City’s mobile water unit will supply free filtered water at the event. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Pets, coolers, sparklers, drones, alcohol, and glass bottles are not permitted.
