A Morning with Dr. Amitha Kalaichandran and Wendy DeLucca

About the Author:
Dr. Amitha Kalaichandran is a physician, epidemiologist, and medical journalist. She has given talks at Stanford University, Happify, and South by Southwest, while also regularly contributing to The New York Times on topics that deal with medical education, health, and wellness. Her writing also has been featured in a range of national and international publications, including Wired, Washington Post, New York Magazine, Discover Magazine, Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, The Atlantic, The Atavist, The Globe and Mail, and the New Scientist. Amitha earned her medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Toronto, and completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona. In addition, she completed psychotherapy training through the Medical Psychotherapy Association of Canada, Wellness/Lifestyle Coaching through York University, a Journalism Fellowship at the University of Toronto, and a Master’s Certificate in Healthcare Management from the Schulich School of Business. Dr. Kalaichandran has served as a consultant for the Twitter (now known as X) Health Design Team and on their health advisory board. She lives in New York City.
About the Wendy DeLucca:
Wendy DeLucca is a dedicated wellness advocate, blending decades of expertise in health, fitness, and transformative experiences. From an early age, she embraced a lifestyle rooted in movement, teaching yoga and step classes while competing in fitness and sports competitions. Her passion led her to become an ACE-certified personal trainer, guiding clients toward optimal well-being for over eight years. Now, as the Spa and Beach Club Membership Director at the Forbes-rated Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, Wendy curates personalized wellness journeys for members, acting as their trusted concierge. Beyond her leadership at Carillon, Wendy champions wellness advocacy through the Greater Miami LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce and has been recognized for her influence in hospitality as the 2024 Greater Miami Beach Hospitality Association’s Hospitality Leadership Manager of the Year. Wendy’s vision extends far beyond today. She looks forward to continuing to empower individuals, elevate holistic well-being, and redefine the future of wellness.
