The Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival Returns To South Florida From July 8-20, 2025!

Chamber Music for All: Gingold Festival Brings Music to South Florida Through Eight Free or Low-cost Concerts at Venues Including Lynn University and Friends of the Classics, Among Others Under the Elevar Foundation Banner, the Gingold Festival Brings World-Class Musicians to Residents at Alzheimer’s Community Care Centers and Students at the Youth Orchestras of Palm Beach County Summer Camp.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural season in Boca Raton, the Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival (JGCMF)—a new program of the Elevar Foundation—returns to South Florida from July 8–20, 2025, with eight concerts and five community engagement events. Concerts will be held at premier venues including the Phyllis and Harvey Sandler Center, Beth Ami Congregation, Lynn University, Friends of the Classics, and St. Mary’s Church in Stuart. Featuring world-class faculty artists and rising young performers, this year’s Festival will also bring music to Alzheimer’s Community Care centers in West Palm Beach and Stuart, as well as to students at the Youth Orchestras of Palm Beach County Summer Camp.

The 2025 Festival program offers a dynamic musical journey across time, place, and genre, with five thoughtfully crafted themes spanning eight concerts. The season opens with Sephardic Dreams (July 8 & 10), a stirring tribute to Jewish composers centered on Sueños de Sefarad by David Stock—commissioned by JGCMF Co-Founder Andrés Cárdenes—alongside works by Chajes, Korngold, Mendelssohn, and John Williams. The French Connection (July 12) evokes the elegance of la belle époque with atmospheric works by Ravel, Debussy, Ysaÿe, and Fauré, while Romantic Fantasies (July 13) showcases music of Saint-Saëns, Poulenc, Rachmaninov, and Brahms. The energy continues with Czech It Out! (July 15 & 19), a celebration of Dvořák’s Bohemian brilliance, and concludes with Swept Away (July 17 & 20), a lush and lyrical offering of chamber treasures by Arensky, Schumann, and Brahms.

The distinguished roster of artists for this year’s Festival includes some of today’s most respected performers renowned as soloists, chamber collaborators, and pedagogues. Violinists Andrés Cárdenes, Cho-Liang Lin, Brooke Gunter, and Gary Levinson join violists Gerald Karni, Michael Klotz, and Richard Young; cellists Rafael Figueroa and Wendy Sutter; pianists Ian Hobson, Sheng-Yuan Kuan, and Lana Suran; harpist Isabel Cárdenes; flutist Elizabeth Lu; and clarinetist Stojo Miserlioski.

About the Elevar Foundation
The Elevar Foundation is dedicated to the transformative power of music and music education. Through programs such as the Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition (EOIVC) and the Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival (JGCMF), Elevar creates access to high-level opportunities for underserved communities and provides a platform for launching the careers of the next generation of violinists. From free workshops and lessons to performances, instrument access, and artist development, Elevar partners with organizations across the country to remove barriers and inspire the next generation of musicians.

About the Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival
Now a proud program of the Elevar Foundation and flying under the banner of its Elevate 360: Musical Masters initiative, the Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival (JGCMF) celebrates the legacy of legendary violinist Josef Gingold and his deeply human approach to music. Held each summer in Boca Raton, Florida, the Festival brings together world-class faculty and rising young artists for two weeks of concerts, mentorship, and community engagement. Programming is inspired by the Golden Age of violin playing and a belief in chamber music as a living, breathing art form—one that connects people across generations and backgrounds.
