Teaching the Object: Selections from the FAU Art Collection
Sunday, February 13, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 1:00 pm, repeating until Saturday, March 5, 2022

In celebration of a gift of works by prominent artists including French painter Henri Matisse, and American Modernists Stuart Davis and Suzy Freylinghuysen, this exhibition acknowledges Rick Stone and Lesley Blackner who provided, in addition to the works, funding to create FAU’s Art History Teaching Lab. The Lab has also been facilitated by funds from the family of the late artist Tom DiSalvo, several of whose paintings are part of the collection. A number of these will be on view. FAU Art History Professor Karen J. Leader, Ph.D., with her art history students and recent graduates, will curate the idea of a “teaching collection” in a global context.
Tue. – Fri. | 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Sat. | 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
