Boca Raton Restaurants Launch ‘We Dine Together’ Fundraiser for Mental Health Awareness
May – August 2022 May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Life-saving support for Boca Raton school students.
Please help us fundraise by offering dining on a Tuesday, a ‘We Dine Together’ Day,” whereby a percent of diners’ receipts is earmarked for ‘we dine together clubs’ in our Schools. Thank you.
Students at Boca Raton Community H.S. started the we dine together club believing that no student should eat alone. School should not be an isolating experience. Loneliness, and the quarantine, led to more mental health struggles, even suicide. So, each day, these kids befriend those who are alone.
Help us expand and fund the youth life-saving club in other schools.
Arturo’s is leading this effort to gather support for our youth. We will promote your restaurant.

Press Release: Arturo’s Ristorante Launches Student Dining Club Fundraiser for Mental Health Month
Arturo’s Ristorante launches student dining club fundraiser 17 for Mental Health Month.
BOCA RATON 2022…A Boca Raton family restaurant is launching a student dining club expansion as a new initiative of Boca Raton’s Promise – Alliance for Youth during Mental Health Awareness Month in May and through August.
Women of Promise, led by longtime Boca Raton mental health activist Rita Thrasher, has teamed up with Arturo’s co-owner Rosaria Gismondi. The restaurant will offer 10% of proceeds on Tuesdays from May 17 through August or gift cards.
Arturo’s will be the first restaurant to help expand Boca Raton Community High School’s successful “We Dine Together” Club to all schools in Boca Raton.
By making sure no student is alone, “We Dine Together” breaks social barriers of isolation to build long-lasting relationships at school.
This non-profit support is a first for Arturo’s Ristorante, a fine-dining institution in Boca Raton at 6750 N. Federal Highway. “When I was approached, I thought ‘maybe there’s something we can do. Fine dining and school dining is the perfect way to do this,” Gismondi said. “Let’s dine together for ‘We Dine Together.’”
The School District of Palm Beach County supports the expansion of “We Dine Together” clubs through Student-Based Initiatives – Department of Safe Schools. Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation donated $12,000 in March to finance the club at Boca Raton Community High School under the aegis of teacher and club advisor Jordan Hernandez.
“Now we need to raise at least $36,000 so the rest of Boca Raton’s schools can start this club that has become so popular with students at Boca High,” Thrasher said.
Expanding the club is part of Boca Raton’s Promise new “promise” to garner support in Boca Raton for mental health and wellness. “This is just the beginning,” Thrasher said.
The timing includes the county’s annual Get Your Green On campaign in May to create visible support and foster safe spaces to talk openly about mental health and trauma. Residents are asked to wear something green and local merchants are asked to display the “Get Your Green On” logo.
Boca Raton’s Promise also supports and attends The Faulk Center for Counseling’s annual butterfly release on May 19.
“Together we will focus on the needs of those caring for others and the promise of youth leading the way,” Thrasher said.
