Delray Beach, FL… The Downtown Development Authority, in partnership with the Downtown Merchant and Business Association, is hosting Art & Jazz on the Avenue on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in downtown Delray Beach. Stroll the Pineapple Grove Arts District on NE 2nd Ave from Atlantic Ave to NE 3rd St. in a closed street style format, experience live musical performances on three stages, live mural painting, art, culture, food, an interactive kids’ zone, and special promotions by merchants.

“Pineapple Grove is home to many of downtown Delray’s wellness businesses such as fitness studios, gyms, beauty and hair salons, and med spas. We will be highlighting these businesses during our February Wellness Month and kicking it off at Art & Jazz on the Avenue with live fitness activities and demonstrations,” said Laura Simon, Executive Director, Delray Beach DDA.

Murals painted LIVE by various artists with one involving the kids, interactive kids’ zone with face painting, caricaturist and games, retail vendors, local food and retail merchant activations, live fitness activities and demonstrations.

Art Installations:

Mural painted LIVE by famed mural artist Cody Parker (-CODE-) at Old School Square Park.

5:30 – 6:15 PurLife Fitness Show

Putting on a 45-minute full body cardio-based workout designed for all ages. Bring a towel, water and a positive attitude and we will provide the fitness.

6:30 – 7:00pm Achievement Center Steppers

7:15pm – 9:30pm Pieces of Work – 5 piece flamenco jazz band

Stage 2:  140 NE 2nd Ave stage – north of Hyatt Place

5:30pm – 7:00pm Mervyn Johnston Jazz Trio

Stage 3:  The Ray Plaza Stage – north of the Ray Hotel

45-minute group workout will provide interval bodyweight conditioning along with band resistance, core and flexibility training.

The famed Art and Jazz on the Avenue, aka “Jazz on the Ave” or “Art and Jazz” is an event which highlights local businesses, artists, and live entertainment. These events occur in a different downtown neighborhood, encouraging community participation, and providing all with the opportunity to have a little fun.
