Overview:
100-foot Christmas Tree + Holiday Village
- The lighting of the 100-foot Christmas Tree is scheduled for 7pm-7:30pm.
- The Holiday Village features a carousel, ice skating rink, gingerbread house, Santa’s workshop and more.
Yuletide Street Festival with live music, carolers, kid’s activities, restaurants with dining in the street, live mural painting, pop up holiday photo opps, pop up food vendors and more.

A Village of Volunteers (hundreds over the years have dedicated their time and service to help build the tree
History:
-1993 the DDA purchased 50ft tree from a park in Miami to have placed within the Downtown as a way to celebrate the holiday and bring shoppers and visitors to the Downtown
-1995 the DDA purchased the additional 50ft to add to make this the tallest tree as well as to commemorate the city Centennial celebration
-For the next 20 years it was a tradition every year after Halloween to bring the community of volunteer businesses and individuals together to build the tree
-2015 a new tree was purchased by the city of Delray Beach
NEW – 2022 Holiday Light Trail in Downtown Delray Beach:
The Downtown Development Authority has lit up the holidays in downtown Delray Beach for over 50 years! The Holiday Light Trail is new for 2022 in our Village by the Sea beginning at the
I-95 eastbound exit of West Atlantic Avenue, winding its way throughout downtown with thousands of lights, lighted wreaths, and holiday decorations. Take a drive or walk the sidewalk trail for a warm holiday glow ~ be sure to stop along the way to visit merchants, restaurants, take photos and tag us (#LOVEDELRAY) to share your experience!
- On Atlantic Avenue, pass by Libby Wesley Plaza, all lit up for the holidays.
- Turn onto Frog Alley (SW 5th Avenue), lined with light-wrapped street poles topped with wreaths.
- At Swinton Avenue, the Old School Square campus will be filled with lights and holiday décor leading up to the Crest Theatre and Cornell Art Museum.
- On Atlantic Avenue going east, in addition to the lighted coconut palms, light poles wrapped in lighted garland and wreaths line the street.
- In Pineapple Grove Arts District (NE 2nd Avenue), in addition to the festive café lights strung across the avenue, lighted poles with our famous holiday pineapple artist pallets line the avenue.
- Old School Square Park center grounds boasts our Holiday Village with walk-through lighted 100-foot Christmas Tree, named Travel & Leisure’s “Best Tree in the State of Florida”, Holiday Carousel and Santa’s Workshop. NE 2nd Avenue provides the best photo-op view of the Holiday Village!
- From the Intracoastal Waterway to A1A, street poles wrapped in miniature lights with bright starburst clusters light the avenue to the beach.
- Our Visitor Information Center at A1A will be aglow with lighted garlands and the Holiday Light Trails ends at the Beach Pavilion covered in nautical décor, lights, and garlands.
Event: Downtown Retailers Are in the Spirit with Holiday Window Décor

About: Each year, a combination of privately owned and commercial vessels decked out with dazzling lights, holiday décor, and costumed captains compete in the modest, yet wildly popular boat parade. The festive flotilla lights up the Intracoastal waterways!
Parade Route: At 6:30pm the parade will form at the Ocean Avenue Bridge in Lantana (near Old Key Lime House) and travel south to the C-15 Canal in Delray Beach (south of Linton Boulevard).
