:: Boca Raton GreenMarket
Where: Royal Palm Place, intersection of S Federal Hwy & S Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton
Time: 8:00 AM
Boca Raton---Grab your shopping bags and head on over to the Boca Raton GreenMarket scheduled for each Saturday from now through May 12, 2012, in the southwest parking lot of Royal Palm Place. Hours are from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm each market day. Now in its 15th year of operation, the Market is open from 8am to 1pm. The location at the intersection of South Federal Highway and South Mizner Boulevard provides easy access and visibility to the thousands of shoppers who frequent the market throughout the season. Plenty of parking is available adjacent to the GreenMarket vendor site.

As with all markets operating in the Palm Beach County area, Boca's GreenMarket has continually been dedicated to local food production and consumption.produce that travels from farm direct to the dining tableand through the process supporting the Florida agricultural industry and the economy of our south Florida area. Each Saturday, fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables as they become available in their individual growing seasons---along with fresh herbs, soaps & lotions, juices, potted orchids, ocean shells, fresh cut flowers, assorted variety of plants, fresh baked goods, prepared foods, oils & vinegars, gourmet foods, hydroponic and organic foods, shells, fresh fish and seafood, fresh pasta, doggie treats ---are available for purchase. Several of the vendors have participated since the Market began in 1996, with new vendors joining each year. Community service organizations are also on hand from time to time to share information or to promote a special group project.

Best of all, Boca's GreenMarket has become 'thee' place to visit on Saturday mornings----where friends come together for a quick cup of fresh coffee and where friends depart with shopping bags filled with the freshest of produce---all taking place in an outdoor market setting in the heart of beautiful downtown Boca Raton. It's just a fun place to be for vendors and shoppers alike, in a relaxed atmosphere.a place for the entire family, along with their pets, to enjoy a few hours in the out-of-doors."

Several special activities, promotions and customer giveaways are planned at various times throughout the Market season. Live music takes place on the Piazza Stage from 10am to Noon.

The Boca Raton GreenMarket is supported by Investments Limited, who owns the site, the Boca Raton Tribune, Florida Health & Chiropractic Medicine, Aurora Nurses Home Health Care, Inc., Costco, Palm Beach County, Farm Credit of South Florida, MetLife, and "FRESH from FLORIDA," a promotional campaign of Florida's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs.

The Sound Heard Around The World ...
Global Response to Chef Barrae's
"2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution" and Her Books!
The sound of Chef Barrae's dropping more than 200 pounds was heard around the globe as word spread of her weight loss solution. As local area newspapers, including the Boynton Beach Forum and the Delray Beach Forum, announced the debut of her free weight loss solution seminars, the story was also carried by South Florida's own Sun-Sentinel. The impact made by her story became news in the United Kingdom as the Daily Mail printed a full article, complete with photographs of Chef Barrae's weight loss, and word was carried around the world. From the United Kingdom to Australia, from Canada to Alaska and Hawaii, from the west coast to the east coast of the United States, her story made a global impact and her books, "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Manual for Life" and "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Everyday Cooking"are climbing in popularity.
Chef Barrae said, "I am honored by the response we are receiving and thrilled to be able to reach out to people around the world with my weight loss solution book, "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Manual for Life." Our first free seminar in Boynton Beach on July 21st was a wonderful success filled with enlightenment, entertainment and education. I was very pleased by the turnout and the warmth and support generated by my guests in attendance. We will be having another "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Seminar" in Boca Raton on August 18th, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton, located at 2601 St. Andrews Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33434, in the Rockburger Room. Admission is FREE and I highly recommend making your reservations through my website, 234weightlosssolution.com to ensure
you will have seats."
Chef Barrae will be offering both of her books, "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Manual for Life," which details her unique, dual approach weight loss solution and her first in a new series of kitchen companion cookbooks, "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Everyday Cooking" at her seminar as well as on her website. Her next kitchen companion cookbook, "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Everyday Baking," featuring gluten free, sugar free recipes for a wide variety of delicious cakes, muffins and other baked goods, is scheduled for release the first week in September. It will be followed by her kitchen companion cookbook, "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution Everyday Entertaining," by mid October in time for the holiday season!

Local Palm Beach County resident, restauranteur, weight loss coach and now world known author, Chef Barrae has not been thrown off course by the sudden limelight and she continues her diligent, hard work towards her goals of a healthier world through the alignment of mind, body and spirit with her dual weight loss solution. "I know this works," she says, "I am walking, living, breathing proof of it. I have gone from my morbidly obese 330 pounds with out of control type 2 diabetes and blood pressure to my now petite 121 pounds and no longer suffer from any medical problems in just a few years. This is a process, a lifestyle. This is not a diet. All it takes is a little willingness coupled with your dedication to succeed. I do not sell any pills, foods or gimmicks and I have not had surgery of any kind." Chef Barrae demonstrates her confidence in the success of the "2 - 3 - 4 Weight Loss Solution" as she continues to surge forward and share her knowledge with anyone and everyone who is willing to listen.

Obon, or the Bon Festival, is a traditional Japanese observance held over a three-day period in the summer. Obon signifies a time when the spirits of deceased family members are believed to return for a brief visit to the world of the living. Obon is a joyous as well as solemn occasion, serving to honor ancestors and thank them for contributing to the quality of life enjoyed by the living.

During Obon, families gather in an open space in the village to perform Bon Odori, folk dancing intended to entertain the visiting spirits. Men, women, and children dance in circles around a platform called a Yagura, upon which drummers and flutists perform. As the evening progresses, the singing and dancing become more animated. Lively fairs with games, food, amusements, and shop stalls are also found in larger communities.

On the last night of Obon, the ancestors are believed to depart for the otherworld, their journey illuminated by farewell fires. In many communities these take the form of simple paper lanterns floated on bodies of water. Families who have experienced deaths in the past year may float elaborately decorated boats to transport their recently deceased to the other side for the first time. In Japan, the otherworld is traditionally regarded as lying beyond the sea or mountains.
At the Morikami, the three-day event is celebrated in one evening, and features a street fair, Bon odori folk dancing, taiko drum performances, lantern floating on Morikami Pond and fireworks.
