Summer Nights on the Avenue Continue with
August 7 Caribbean Summer Night
[DELRAY BEACH --- July 30, 2009] Music, food, art and children's activities will
highlight Caribbean Summer Night - the August 7 block party set for 7 - 10 pm on NW
5th Avenue in Downtown Delray Beach. Admission is free.
The children's activities will include hunting for pirate's treasure in a sandy
beach, painting Haitian carnival masks and a movie screening.
The third of six planned Summer Night on the Avenue, Caribbean Summer Night
follows the successful "Grease" Street Party and "Dog Days of Summer." Upcoming
events include "Family Night with Barbie" in Old School Square on August 14; "Dancing
in the Street Dance" in the 500 block of Atlantic Avenue on August 28; and "Last Hurrah
of Summer" at A1A and Atlantic Avenue on September 4.
Joining the City of Delray Beach in sponsoring this summer series are City
National Bank, Green Cab Company of Palm Beach, La Cigale, CDS Holding,
Atlantique Café, Sun Sentinel, Comcast Spotlight, Crane's Beach House, Sunny 104.3
and Delray Beach Public Arts Board.
