Independence Day
:: Delray Beach- July Fourth Celebration
Where: Beach at A1A and Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Sand Sculpting Contest on the beach, Patriotic Bicycle and Scooter Parade, live concerts, food, fireworks and more!

28:00 am-12:00 noon Sand Sculpting Contest presented by the Delray Beach Rotary Sunrise. 1 pm winners will be announced. Ocean Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue on the Beach. Registration Information, call 270-1380 ext 17.

10:00 am-10:00 pm The 30 x 60 ft. American Flag will be flown near the beach, weather permitting, flying high near the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.

3:00 pm-Decorate Patriotic Bicycle and Scooter Parade, presented by City of Delray Beach to benefit the Delray Beach Rotary Noon time Atlantic Avenue at Veterans Park. Decorate your bikes and scooters come one down to the park fro judging. (decorations not provided this year)

3:00-9:00 pm FREE CONCERT- Get set for dancing on the beach! Children's activities along Atlantic Avenue.

4:00 pm Parade Patriotic Bike & Scooter Parade Route will be Veterans Park to A1A at the Marriott. Open to all ages. For registration information, call 279-1380 ext 17.

5:00 pm Winners announced and prizes awarded at the entertainment stage.

5:30-8:00 pm FREE CONCERT-Dance in the streets! Entertainment on our Delray Beach Parks & Recreation Department stage!

4:00-8:00 pm Delicious Food and Beverages, prepared by local restaurants at Atlantic Avenue and A1A.

8:30 pm First Fireworks Salute…30 minutes to show time.

8:45 pm A Red, White & Blue 8" Star Shell will let you know that show time is in fifteen minutes. Make sure your radios are set to Sunny 104.3 FM for the fireworks music simulcast.

8:50 pm Fireworks Celebration Introduction & Pledge of Allegiance to the giant American Flag with Mayor Woodie McDuffie.

9:00 pm Fireworks Display

Celebrate Independence Day in spectacular style! 4th on Flagler boasts the region's biggest and best 4th of July celebration and features three stages of non-stop entertainment, a kid's area, food and refreshments, the unfurling of a giant American Flag, the Firefighters' Splash and Dash, and a spectacular fireworks extravaganza. Residents and visitors can enjoy the fireworks, food, concerts and much more along our City's stunning waterfront.4th on Flagler will be held on Saturday, July 4th from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. along Flagler Drive in Downtown West Palm Beach, with the National City Fireworks Show taking place at 9:00 p.m. This FREE event is produced by the City of West Palm Beach Mayor's Office, Division of Community Events.

:: Boca Raton- Fabulous Fourth Celebration
Where: Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton

Put on your best red, white, and blue for a "Fabulous Fourth" and be the guests of the City of Boca Raton as it salutes Independence Day with stirring patriotic music, spectacular fireworks, and tasty food all to make your July Fourth the most festive of national holidays. The event will take place at the Florida Atlantic University campus, a half-mile east of the Glades Road I-95 exit, beginning at 6:00pm on Saturday, July 4, 2009. Sponsored by the City of Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University, Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, Sun-Sentinel, WRMF 97.9 FM, Florida Health and Chiropractic Medicine, and Aurora Nurses Home Health Care, the outdoor event gets underway at 6:00pm with various family activities and games at the Carnival Midway. The sounds of music begin with a stirring patriotic 6:30pm stage show, "Red, White & Blue Spectacular," presented by ZMC Entertainment. At 7:30pm, the Florida Wind Symphony under the direction of Dr. Kyle Prescott, will present a patriotic, hand-clapping musical tribute. At 9:00pm, a spectacular fireworks display will take place filling the skies with brilliant streams of color and lights. Traditional patriotic music will accompany the fireworks. No need to bring along the picnic basket, there will be plenty of food available for purchase. Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the day's festivities. Entrance to the event, event parking, and all performances are free of charge, although there may be optional purchases for food, various crafts, and to support fundraising efforts of local not-for-profit groups. Plenty of parking is available throughout the campus.

For the concern and safety of all, personal fireworks & sparklers, alcoholic beverages, open fires, and bringing along the family pet are absolutely prohibited.

The City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation Department invites you to celebrate America's Independence on Fort Lauderdale Beach. As the sun goes down, watch the sky light up with the City's annual fireworks show!
