:: Cinema In The Park - "Lemony Snicket's Unfortunate Events"
Where: Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton
Time: 7:00 PM
Gather up the family, grab a blanket or chair, head out to Mizner Park for an outdoor movie showing on a 40-foot screen at the Mizner Park Amphitheater. This month's film, "LEMONY SNICKET'S SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS," is brought to you by the City of Boca Raton, Mercantile Bank, Florida Health & Chiropractic Medicine, and Sunrise Cinema, who also hand out free popcorn and discount movie passes to Sunrise theaters.

The story begins with the narration of Lemony Snicket (Jude Law) telling the story of how the three Baudelaire children became orphans and are left with a large inheritance. The orphans, Violet (Emily Browning) 14, Klaus (Liam Aiken) 12, and the baby, Sunny (Kara & Shelby Hoffman) are sent to live with a distant relative, Count Olaf (Jim Carrey), a demented actor whose only goal it to steal the children's inheritance. Count Olaf is not a nice person and makes the children do anything he wants them to do. To get all their money, Count Olaf plots to kill the children, but instead, the children are taken away from him and are given to a series of odd guardians. The events that follow make this an exciting movie with plenty of suspense and surprises.

Special cartoons will precede the feature film. Movie-going cuisine is available for purchase by the Boca Raton Community High School Band Boosters. Seating is available first come, first serve…..chair rentals ($2) available through Booster Club…..please no family pets, alcohol, or smoking.
