Friday, October 19, 2007
Time: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
On Friday, October 19 from 7-10 p.m., these two legendary regional chefs prepare multi-course gourmet affairs featuring their signature dishes paired with fine wines from our featured winemakers Lisa Peju and Gary Pisoni. At each dinner, guests will be educated about the complementary wine and food pairings that bring out the fine, distinct flavors in each course.

The Southern Breeze Wine + Culinary Festival has been privileged to share the expertise of Chef Creehan throughout this year's festivals. As a featured chef at each location's Winemaker Dinners and headliner for the culinary seminars during the Grand Wine Tasting, Chef Creehan has added his exceptional touch to each festival and we look forward to the talent he will share in Rosemary Beach. Chef Creehan will be joined by Chef Wolfe at the festival in Rosemary Beach, bringing two culinary greats together in one town. Each chef will host one of Friday's Winemakers Dinners, creating a gourmet event not to be forgotten.

Chef Creehan will join Gary Pisoni of Pisoni Vineyards at Courtyard Wine & Cheese for a multi-course gourmet affair. He will also headline two culinary seminars during Saturday's Grand Wine Tasting, and his restaurant Beach Walk Crystal Beach will participate in Sunday's Walkabout Brunch.

Chef Creehan has made a name for himself in the culinary world as the owner of two Destin, Florida restaurants, Beach Walk Crystal Beach and Creehan's Copper Grill as well as Destin's new DCS Culinary Center. At 41, he is a Certified Executive Chef, author, teacher, inventor, dynamic entertainer, and a steward of his community. When it comes to sharing his love for the culinary arts, Creehan is on a joyful mission that has produced exceptional culinary tools. He has written two cookbooks, Simple Cuisine and Flavors of the Gulf Coast, and patented a non-stick grilling instant marinade, Chef's Grill Plus. Tim Creehan and Beach Walk Crystal Beach have earned numerous awards and accolades including; Florida Trend's Golden Spoon - Top 25 Restaurants in Florida, Award of Excellence from DiRoNA and Wine Spectator, as well as Best Chef on the Emerald Coast for the past five years.

The festival's newest addition, New Orleans' very own Chef Wolfe, will be joined by winemaker Lisa Peju in the festive atmosphere of Rosemary Beach Town Hall for an artful pairing of gourmet food and boutique wines.

Chef Wolfe is taking New Orleans by storm as the owner of two award-winning restaurants. He has worked alongside culinary greats, including Emeril, where he fine-tuned his cooking before opening his first restaurant, Wolfe's of New Orleans. Wolfe has been named one of five chefs to watch in the United States by John Mariani of Esquire Magazine. Chef Wolfe was named Rising Star Chef in 2003 and, in 2004, hosted a dinner at the James Beard House in New York. During May 2004, Wolfe once again broadened his culinary horizons. When Chef Anne Kearney decided to turn over the reigns of her award-winning establishment, Peristyle Restaurant, to was Chef Wolfe. Owning both Wolfe's of New Orleans and Peristyle Restaurant has been a great milestone in Chef Wolfe's life.
